Today, each child received a gingerbread man to color. Nice work everyone. |
During circle time we talked about what whole is. When something is together. The children's gingerbread man was together and that mean it was whole. |
We then asked the children to cut their gingerbread man into two equal pieces. Thus creating two halves. |
Together the gingerbread man was whole, but
apart he was half. Together whole, apart half.
The children then passed around half of their
gingerbread man to a friend and got to put the two half's together to make a whole gingerbread man.
This was a great learning experience for all the children and a fun activity. Thanks for the fun! Miss Julie and Miss Crystal |
