Bluebirds March 22, 2012

Here's a little peek at some of the favorite activities this week in the Bluebird class.

The Bluebirds have been very creative with their use of the magnet blocks!

Wow! Look at the team work between these boys as they construct
towers and prepare to knock them over by throwing a ball.

We had a great time making a giant spider web.  We were practicing group co-operative skills.  Look what we can do when we all work together!

During art the children had an opportunity to create a shark out of paper.  They was so much interest we put together a little underwater center with books and ocean animals.  It has been a very popular center to visit during tub time.

The magnet blocks are popular with the boys and girls because they are so easy and fun to build with.  The children are extremely creative and find that building is not only fun, but also can be a bit challenging.  Children are experimenting daily with design, structure and the properties of physics and magnets.

Here, the child learned how to build a collapse-proof tower!

Drawing sharks is a great way to practice using circles and triangles.

Painting with marbles...

The new mats are very popular.

                                                              Sunny days were a treat!

Our weekly walk to gymnastics.

Last Friday, we followed the leprechaun's trail and found gold!
