Robins - May 21st - 25th

Wondering what the Robins have been up to this week? Take a look!

ABCs & 123s!

One Robin sat down to practice writing the alphabet...

We worked on lowercase matching...

Alphabet soup was the inspiration for our monthly drawings...

After we finished drawing, we played the alphabet soup game!

Fun with numbers...

At circle time, we read "Chicka Chicka 123"...

Afterwards we counted Yellow objects...

Some of the Robins were inspired to count and sort these items on their own...

Later in the week, we worked on number recognition and double digit numerals...

An insect themed sensory table...

The return of the flubber...

As seen in our previous posts, the Robins have been working with chalk a lot lately. This week we worked on chalk drawings...these works of art are now on display in the middle room...be sure to stop & take a look!

We introduced some new materials to our building area this week. The Robins were especially excited about these construction straws. This structure took lots of time, patience, and teamwork...

At least once a week, a few children will stop to take a look at their notebooks. Its so great to see the Robins looking back over their work with such a sense of accomplishment. Next time you have a moment while dropping off or picking up, ask your student if they'd like to show you their notebook...

As always, thanks for reading!
Miss Crystal & Miss Julie
