Iguanas - July 30th - August 3rd

Hello again! What an exciting week in the Iguanas' class....take a look!

Theme: Curious George & The Olympics

Curious George makes pancakes and so do the Iguanas! Here we are measuring, pouring, and mixing...

We also made homemade sand. This stuff has been a huge hit and its super easy to make. Here's the recipe...
Homemade Sand
4 cups used, dried coffee grounds
(Ask your local Starbucks)
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt

What are sacky wacks? They're a lot like stress balls made made out of play dough filled balloons. First everyone helped make a new batch of playdough...

Next, we filled our balloons as full as possible with the play dough.

Then we decorated them and spent the morning stretching and squishing them...

Inflatable horse races were so much fun!

Using cardboard, foil, and ribbon, we made our own Olympic medals...

Olympic flags & torches...

Olympic color fingerpainting...

Our week ended with the Kidspace Olympics, which consisted of many different events including track, cycling, basketball, and gymnastics.

Thanks for reading!
Until next week,
Miss Crystal, Miss Julie, & Miss Rachel
